We couldn’t do it without you! Since 1982, our volunteers have helped make our organization what it is today. Our volunteer opportunities include:
Patient Support, Companionship and Respite
One of the most profound experiences in life is at its end. By volunteering to help our patients, you will have an opportunity to truly make a difference. By sitting with a patient, providing respite to a caregiver, offering emotional support, running errands or simply being present, you’ll help bring comfort and relief. Become a Patient Volunteer.
Hospice Home Volunteers
Assisting with food preparation for breakfast Monday through Friday and cooking breakfast for the patients on the weekends. Other needs at the Home are answering the phone, visiting patients and assisting with the laundry. Find more information here about The Hospice Home.
We have many needs around the office from data entry and filing to answering the phones. Call 336-532-0126 for more information.
The Hospice League, organized in 1989, is the all-volunteer fundraising arm of Hospice & Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell. With more than 500 volunteers, the League has raised the funds to build and operate the Hospice Home in Burlington. That takes a lot of money – and a whole lotta FUN! Call 336-229-0490 to learn more or to help out! Find more information here about The Hospice League.
Information Session for New Volunteers
If you are interested in being a hospice volunteer, you must attend one of our information sessions. The next one will be held on Thursday, Oct. 24 from 6-7:00pm at the office. Please call 336-532-0126 to sign up.
