This program is a unique collaboration between hospice, Alamance Regional Medical Center and our medical director to offer palliative care services to any patient at ARMC whose attending physician requests palliative care assistance. The term palliative means a “team approach to care that aims to relieve suffering and improve quality of life at any age, at any stage, and in any setting”.

At the attending physician’s request, we offer two primary services:

• Expert consultation and advice with symptom management
  
• Education and assistance to patients and families confronting difficult treatment choices
