Kids Path Palliative Care Bereavement & Grief

Bereavement, grief and the experience of loss is a fundamental part of the nature of hospice care. Whether it’s consoling a loved one, leading a support group, conducting a memorial service, lending a book from our library or other service, our intent is to help any person in our community deal with the loss of a loved one. There’s never a charge for our bereavement services – we’re here to care.

Among the comprehensive bereavement services we offer are:

  • Visits, phone calls and on-site counseling to family members of hospice patients for up to a year after their loved one’s death
  • Ongoing support groups for people experiencing loss, available to any person in our community. Click here for more information about current groups
  • An extensive, free lending library with books on grief, mourning and loss; and pamphlets and brochures to keep on grief-related issues
  • Mailings including a compilation of materials designed to help people reconcile themselves to their loved one’s death
  • Annual memorial services in Alamance and Caswell counties
  • Special “surviving the holidays” workshops for children and adults
  • Camp Pathfinder is our annual camp for bereaved children. Click here for information on this year’s camp or call 336-532-0123.
  • Community grief services including periodic counseling services to people experiencing loss, crisis response to traumatic community events, and counseling to children and their families dealing with the loss of a loved one
  • Resource referrals to community services as needed

We’re here to care. Just call 336-532-0100 for help or information.
